The BIMSTEC Energy Centre (BEC), Bengaluru, India, organized a five-day Capacity Building Programme on “New & Emerging Technologies in Power Sector (Generation, Transmission, Distribution & End Use)” from 14 to 18 September 2026 in Bengaluru, India. It covered a wide range of areas, including Renewable Energy Technologies, Smart Grid Technologies, Green Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, Emerging Nuclear Technologies, Advanced Transmission Technologies and Planning, and Artificial Intelligence in Power Systems. Participants also visited Kolar POWERGRID HVDC Station and the Ohmium International Green Hydrogen Electrolyzer Gigafactory, providing practical exposure to advanced energy technologies and infrastructure.
